Compatibility

Do you want to quickly check if your phone is suitable for an eSIM? The easiest way is to enter the code *#06# in your phone app and see if you see an EID number.

*📱 1. The #06# method (universal)

  • Open your keypad to make a call as if you were calling someone.
  • Enter *#06#.
  • A screen will appear with barcodes and unique numbers.
  • Do you see an EID (Embedded Identity Document)? Then your phone is suitable for an eSIM.

⚙️ 2. Check via Settings (iPhone)

  • Go to Settings > General > About.
  • Scroll down.
  • Do you see an EID number here? Then your iPhone supports eSIM.
  • You can also look under Settings > Mobile Service or Mobile Data.

🤖 3. Check via Settings (Android)

  • Go to Settings > Connections or Network & internet.
  • Tap SIM card manager or SIMs.
  • Do you see the option Add eSIM or Digital SIM? Then your device supports eSIM.
  • For Samsung: Settings > Connections > SIM card manager > Add eSIM.
  • For Google Pixel: Settings > Network & internet > SIMs > Add eSIM.

✅ Do you see an EID number? Then your device is eSIM-compatible!

🔓 4. Check if your device is SIM-unlocked

  • In addition to eSIM support, it is also important that your device is SIM-unlocked. If your phone was purchased through a provider, it may have a SIM lock that prevents you from installing an eSIM.

Here is how you check this:

  • iPhone: go to Settings > General > About and look for "Carrier Lock". If it says "No SIM restrictions", your device is unlocked.
  • Android: go to Settings > About phone > Status, or contact your provider to have them check this.
  • Are you in doubt? Contact your provider — they can always check this for you and unlock the device if necessary.

⚠️ Note: even if you see an EID number, you cannot install an eSIM as long as your device is not SIM-unlocked. Both checks are therefore necessary for full eSIM compatibility.
